The piece
Written in thread,
meant to be read.
Deep black satin opens into sheer mesh sleeves, each one embroidered with flowing Arabic calligraphy of a love poem by the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish.
The letters drift across the back of the hand and fall past the wrist, so the poem moves when you do. Worn as a robe over the slip dress, or on its own, it is a love letter in the most literal sense: something you keep close.
